The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit, also known as the Met Gala, is by far the biggest fashion event of the year in New York. Over 500 designers, actors and actresses, Hollywood elite, Wall Street bigwigs and Silicon Valley protégés attended the red carpet spectacle. This year, Anna Winter, Vogue editor and artistic director of Condé Nast, kicked it up a notch, having the event be part of a documentary by Andrew Rossi. The museum’s annual blockbuster fashion show was devoted this year to Chinese aesthetics’ influence on Western fashion. Here are our favorite looks.
