As we have seen continually this past year, sportswear remains a major player in the types of clothing we have seen being reinterpreted at NYFW. Menswear fabrics and masculine shapes once again dominated, further blurring the lines of gender-based clothing. One positive happening this season: the diversity. Models of different ethnicities, shapes and even the introduction men onto the catwalks of women’s shows were much more present than before.
With many changes like see-now-buy-now conveniences, and a calling for the fashion world to modernize, we see the effects of a shaken industry on the verge of metamorphosis.
We’ve narrowed down our favorite shows featuring fashions we would be happy to sport.
