This past Friday, the world of Louis Vuitton became available to Angelenos from Louis Vuitton chairman and CEO Michael Burke. The who’s who of fashion were present Thursday night for a private event including Nicolas Ghesquière, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and blogger Chiara Ferragni to view seven rooms of multimedia displays for the ever evolving French fashion house. The super-sensory presentation of the history, workings and future of the brand presented a psychedelic experience new to the presentation of fashion. The exhibit was art in its most couture form, and set a new standard for how fashion brands can incorporate advanced technological mediums and engage with wider audiences. One highlight to not be missed is the “Infinite Show Room,” which features a 360-degree floor to ceiling video projection of the Spring 2015 collection. Running on several screens simultaneously, it immerses the viewer in a completely unfamiliar audiovisual avant-garde experience.
The Louis Vuitton “Series 2” Exhibition can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, February 6–22, 2015 at 1135 N. Highland Ave., Los Angeles.
