In October, I had the opportunity to attend Fashion Forward (FFWD) Dubai, not just as an editor, but as a guest of House of Nomad (the designer I wore during NYFW). I was honored to meet with designers Ahmed El Sayed (check out our selfie above!) and Saleh Al-Banna and visited their Dubai Design District showroom to pick up looks for the jam-packed weekend of runway shows, presentations and parties.
After picking up their iconic “Nomad” sweater in Dubai over the summer (pictured here), it was only right to don their pieces on their home turf of the Emirates. House of Nomad is ultra innovative, specializing in “sports-luxe” clothing for men and women. Their designs are cutting edge, always incorporating unique fabrics that add unusual structures to their clothing. Part of the nomadic lifestyle is being able to wear clothing that is not only durable, but comfortable and functional. And their pieces reflect just that, with a more polished and refined look, loaning more functionality to dress up or down in House of Nomad.
Their collaboration with Reebok for the Spring/Summer collection at FFWD was an epic union for luxe sportswear fans to lust over during the runway presentation and at the cocktail after-party. If you’re looking to score some pieces from House of Nomad, your prayers have been answered. When I met with the designers post-show, they let me know that an e-commerce is on the way. 2017 is looking like a good year already. #score
