One store to describe Meme’s home aesthetic, whether in Los Angeles, Britain or beyond, would be Restoration Hardware. Maybe because it is a California-born brand like Mademoiselle Meme, and thus its laid back, neutrals palette speaks to our West Coast spirit. CEO Gary Friedman has perfectly blended a 21st-century California mood with European 16th-century influences.
RH’s rustic homewares and furnishings are classical in style, with an emphasis on earth and stone tones. They import Belgian linen and Italian bedding from the most skilled of artisans. Antiqued and vintage pieces like the aviator metal trunk create a sense of warm nostalgia for eras past. Yet even with this clean aesthetic, RH has been able to create a new line based on the tech-savvy generation of teenagers called RH Teen.
Debuting Mid-September, RH Teen will cater to youth with more modern pieces, “tasteful, high-quality” furniture, lighting, linens, and décor (cue the hashtag wall fixtures). RH Teen comes after the recent introduction of RH Modern which has steered the company to a more modern design era.
A video catalog gave a sneak peek as to what the collection will entail. Our only question now is: can adults buy this furniture for themselves? #obsessed.
