The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit, also known as the Met Gala, is New York’s biggest fashion event. Over 500 designers, actors and actresses, Hollywood elite, Wall Street bigwigs and Silicon Valley protégés attend the red carpet before the fundraiser. The museum’s fashion exhibition this year is entitled Camp: Notes on Fashion. Anna Wintour, Vogue editor and artistic director of Condé Nast, selected Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Alessandro Michele of Gucci to co-host this year’s gala.
The exhibition is on view at the Met May 9–September 8, 2019.
