There are two times a year I shop for most my designer pieces: after Christmas and during the summer sales. I always receive messages that buying designer goods is out of reach, unattainable, overpriced and a waste of money. When shopping on MM, the goal is always to share pieces that will last you for a lifetime. I don’t promote fleeting fashion trends, I do my best to share fashion that is more sustainable and less environmentally damaging, and fashion that is original in its art and not a fast fashion piece that has usually knocked off these designers works. Though I have shared fast fashion before, I truly believe you can find great deals for the same price or slightly more during these sale periods. It is about building a closet of essentials with collectables you can wear over and over and reinvent over time. It is not about attaining lots of clothes you wear a few times that then are tattered or buying clothes just to buy out of wastefulness. If you change your approach to how and why you are shopping, you will see the value in investment designer pieces and will not have the interest to buy fast fashion anymore. Quality over quantity.
Below are options I have selected after combing through the best of online sales. Find the perfect pair of denim, a classic daytime dress you can pass onto your daughter, or an essential summer hat you will wear at least 15 times while sitting in your backyard during quarantine. Oh, and because we are in that quarantine life, I’ve also included pjs.
